The tread is not deep which makes it easier to remove mud etc from them as opposed to the very aggressive tread pattern of hiking boots. Another reason I picked this boot is the color and design. Should I feel the need to wear them to work on a cold, snowy, or in the very wet which we will experience soon with the snow melt, the boots are good looking and could almost pass as a dress shoe.
